Welcome
The Temple City Sportsmen began as an organization of Pacific Telephone employees in the Pasadena, California area in 1947.
As the Club population grew, member’s moved toward independent trips or retired to states that offered resources in their own backyard. Many of our members children showed interest in their father’s activities resulting in Junior membership level beginning at age 16.
Activities involve conservation projects which include developing springs to supply animal drinkers, installing guzzlers to capture rain, and building wheelchair-accessible sites for disabled anglers.
As interest demands the Club will organize salt water fishing trips (typically Rock Cod or Yellowtail/Albacore) freshwater trips (Trout, Bass), hunting trips (Quail/Chucker and Pheasant), shooting events (Pentathlon and Turkey target shoot) and Conservation projects.
The Club meets once a month to discuss upcoming events and generally plan the “good stuff”. In addition, members organize their own personal events which are often shared with other members and friends.
In times of shrinking budgets Temple City Sportsmen supports organizations that continue the fight to preserve the Second Amendment and those involved in Wildlife Preservation.
Accordingly we support Ducks Unlimited, Southwest Anglers, National Rifle Association (NRA), Gun Owners of America, California Rifle and Pistol Association, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and San Gabriel Valley Quail Forever.
